The crops are in this month and I'm eating vegetables! The taste of those from garden to table is the reward for all that labor that started in March.

I'm going to have to catch all of this excitement on the run. I'm taking a break this month starting 27th and October. A trip back to France has been calling me for several years, so I'm packing and getting ready to take off. I'm no sooner back from France, than I'm off to Texas for a wedding. I've set up my #IWSG posts, and I'll have to catch up with everyone when I return.

I'll regale y'all with the details--mishaps (there's always those), inspiring moments (I pray for these), and my new boots (gotta buy some in Austin this time).

  3. Hi Lee - congratulations to all the entrants and winners. How wonderful that you're coming over here to good old France - enjoy your time ... and then a wedding ... you'll never be home to enjoy those veggies - they look good: well done there. Cheers and happy journeys - Hilary

    1. I know what you mean about the veggies. I'm gobbling them up as fast as I can, but some will go to neighbors.

  4. We've been enjoying vegetables from our garden. Nothing tastes better.

Paris and Texas will be like visiting two different planets. LOL

There have been a lot of swag orders lately which is great.

  5. Home grown vegies - yum! Not having a garden is one of the things I miss about not living on land. I used to love growing and eating our own vegies.

    1. Hi, Cheryl!

(Ever proofread a comment TWICE and then still find a typo after you publish it? :)

Your garden has yielded some delicious looking veggies. Zucchini and green beans are two of Mrs. Shady's favorite crops and she just made us a big batch of ham, potatoes and green beans.

So you're preparing to do some globetrotting, are you? I hope you have a wonderful time overseas and down Austin way when you return. I will miss you, Cheryl. Take care, dear friend!

    2. Thanks, Shady. I'll be excited to go and excited to return. I always come back a little different than when I left. I guess that's part of the excitement of traveling.

  9. Home grown vegies. Mmmm. Definitely a reward for the blood sweat and tears which go into the garden.
Enjoy your time away. You will be missed.
