Surviving the AtoZ April Challenge and Hat's Off Corner with Medeia Sharif

I survived last year and the year before. Let's see if I can do it again this year.

I'm a new AtoZ Team Member this year, so I'm figuring out what I'm supposed to do or not do as a member of this group. Today I've posted on Blogging from A to Z.

After a brutal rape and near-murder, Valerie wants to get past feelings of victimhood from both the assault and her history of being bullied. She’s plagued by not knowing the identity of her rapist and by the nasty rumors in school about that night. Valerie follows clues from ghostly entities, past victims of the rapist-murderer, contacting her through a social media site—why do all of their eerie photos have 52 likes under them? Their messages are leading her to the mystery man, although he’ll put up a fight to remain hidden.

My Quote for the Day:

I learned early on that if you don't want your memos to get ou in trouble someday, just don't write any. Dick Cheney.

Are you thinking about a theme for the AtoZ April Challenge 2015? Did you sign up for a copy of Medeia's book? Write any memos lately?

I'm off to southern California for a few days, so I may not get around to say hi to everyone right away. Sorry. Have to take care of more of my mom's estate business. I'll be back to "normal" one of these days.

  2. Good luck with the A to Z Challenge. It's going to be my second time doing it, but first time with a theme idea.

  3. I hope to do the A to Z challenge with a group of author friends. We're working on a theme. I'm sure you'll do well as a member of the team.
Glad to see Medeia making the rounds around the blogosphere 😁
And when you figure out what normal is, please share lol!

  6. Thank you for participating in my book blast. :)

I'm not doing A to Z this year since I have a book release that month (you do too).

  7. I do write memos to myself all the time but I don't think any will get me in trouble. Liked your post on A to Z.

  8. Congratulations, Medeia!

Sorry you have to take care of estate stuff. That is very draining. Hopefully, California will have nice weather for you.

  11. I'm still debating about the challenge. I've done it ever year since it began... dare I drop out this year? I think being a team member last year kind of did me in...

    Congratulations to Medeia!

  12. Congrats on being a team member! I write love notes to my hubby but I would never think of writing things that others who are famous, write. They are asking for trouble. The book sounds excellent but heavy regarding the topic

  13. Congrats Medeia!

I'm going to have to check out your A-to-Z post. I have no ideas so far!

  14. The A to Z challenge must be really difficult sometimes! Best of luck.

  15. We've (Untethered Realms) been talking about our A-Z topic recently. It's easy when you have 12 people, LOL. Congrats to Medeia, I'm seeing you all over the blogoverse.

  16. Hi Lee. Been thinking about the A-Z and really want to avoid doing it last minute. Last year's experience was crazy. (Good you are planning things early :) Also....regarding posting answers to comments and whether people see them (do not see your post here for some reason), this bothers me too. I seldom know if someone has commented back, although I like reading other people's comments. I don't mind email responses to comments I've spent time on....with the exception of during the A-Z (which may be difficult keeping up). (My email is below my profile pic on right)

  18. Congrats to Medeia!

And best wishes for being an A to Z Team Member! I'm not planning to participate on my blog this year, but I will be a part of A-Z on Untethered Realms' blog.

  20. Congrats to Medeia! Have a wonderful trip, C.Lee!

I'm on the fence with A to Z this year . . . every year I barely keep my head above water and start the month off a bit behind, but I have this idea that keeps jumping up and down in the back of my head. Maybe . . .

  21. AtoZ makes me tired just thinking about it. Good luck!

    Congrats, Medeia. :)

  22. You're doing a great job with A to Z so far! My mother's estate business is just kind of hold so far as we wait for paperwork and stuff. Then we have to touch up the house so we can sell it. Wish we could just keep it.

  23. I'll be participating in the challenge again this year, too. I already have my topic picked out--so hopefully I'll know when I'm supposed to do my topic reveal!

  24. Congrats to Medeia! I'll be participating in A-Z with the Untethered Realms group again. It was so much fun last year.

  26. Dick Cheney's quote is so true. I'm aging myself badly here, but I remember when the news of Nixon's tapes came out. The first thing I thought was, "Why ARE there tapes?" Medeia is indeed prolific, isn't she?

  27. Yay for being a team member for A to Z this year!

    And Medeia is very prolific!

I won't be able to participate in A to Z this year, but I'll be cheering you all on!

  28. Medeia, your book sounds chilling! Hoping for huge success and many many sales. The cover is a real-grabber.

  30. Congrats to Medeia! I survived 2 years with the A to Z. This year I have no idea of what I'm going to do. Hope all goes well in southern CA.

  31. Good luck with the A-Z challenge. I've done it for about 3 years, but I don't think I'll be doing it this year because of all the other things I have going on. It'll be really tough to be online 6 days a week.

  32. Hey Lee,

And to confuse matters, you now wear a hat which you do take off. This hopefully doesn't cause confusion in regards to that other Lee. Yes, that Lee, the dude obsessed with the alphabet! Hard to believe, I know.

Now, to my horror, you have decided to join Team Alphabet! This calls for me to sob uncontrollably. I was hoping that the A to Z thingy ma jiggy would just go away. Sigh and alas....

Medeia, is one of my adoring fans and seriously, yes seriously, hearty congrats to Medeia.

I can see it now. Celebrity author and the throngs of starstruck fans in southern California. Perhaps you should put that hat back on and wear some sunglasses. Mumble stuff about the alphabet to your fans to add to the confusion.

Yes, before my computer crashes, I shall sadly have to leave.

    Your forever starstruckest fan,

    Gary!
