Mystery Blogger N’s 2013 theme: “. . .cats with an occasional tea thrown in"

This quote was one I’d never heard, but loved when the blogger posted N is for  Narcissistic Cats last year.

Mystery Blogger N. “Cats are the ultimate narcissists. You can tell this by all the time they spend on personal grooming. Dogs aren’t like this. A dog’s idea of personal grooming is to roll in a dead fish.” – James Gorman

Who was it?

HINT: Sometimes you have to struggle to survive when you sip tea with this blogger. Oh and this blogger made a huge change this year.

    2. Your posting came up as the letter "M". I reloaded the page and the letter "N" showed up. And of course, who still managed to get here before me at two seconds past five in the morning, your time. Yep and yikes!

  2. I do not believe it. I waited until five in the morning, west coast time, so I could comment first! I shall return. Sheesh, Alex!

  6. I have no idea who the blogger is, but I about snorted tea through my nose reading that quote. It SO hit home because we had a dog who absolutely loved going to the beach to find dead things to roll in.

  10. Here goes, again. This is my third comment. Yay n'stuff. I get the sense that it may well be River Fairchild. I survived the tea, sort of.

And with that, I shall ask the wandering cat to leave my house so I can take over staring at my amazing self in the full-length mirror.

Yep and of course, your starstruckest fan,

    Gary

  29. I have one of those "narcissistic cats"...though he was mostly raised by a dog, he still retained enough of his cat qualities---we've given up calling him by name...he has been referred to as "his royal fat-catness" for some time now *sigh*

    1. We had a Cat La Fong once, but His Royal Fat-Catness tops that!

    2. I call one of mine the Royal Barge because you can barely see her tiny feet when she walks - she's like a barge floating down a river.

  30. Of course cats are narcissistic! If you were beautiful, regal, clever, refined, and an all around icon of purrr-fection, you'd be narcissistic too. (Yes, you would. Don't do that head shake. I can see you from in here...)

  39. That pretty well describes my cats. They are outdoor cats though, so they put in extra grooming time with dirt baths. I know that seems like the opposite of grooming, but it just means I don't need to give them baths. It's weird how dirt actually cleans.
