Small Things Celebration & Heads Up on W4WS

VIKLIT SPONSORED

Small things I Live to Enjoy

One really good walk with a friend.
One kiss from someone I love.
One fresh strawberry just picked.
One super scene I've written and know is exactly the way I want it.
Oh, and a toothpick. I love that, especially after a Mosquito Sandwich ( You had to read my last post to get this one.)

THANKS STEPHEN TREMP

Hope you'll join in on Monday for the W4WS event. CARRIE BUTLER and I are up for the featured writers and would love your support.

  3. OK, I have to read that prior post.

How about waking up briefly, looking out your bedroom window and seeing a mesh of stars through the trees? Ah...

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Greetings Lee,

It's nice to know you live to enjoy a walk with a friend and kissing someone you love while eating a strawberry as you think about a super scene you wrote that is like perfecto n' stuff and you celebrate all of this by reading my run-on sentence and tooth picking a Mosquito Sandwich.

"4W4S" huh? Okay, Carrie and your amazing self can wait my imminent arrival.

"Small Things Hop." Fleas, crickets, mites and correct, ticks.

As usual, but it needs saying, your starstruckest fan,

    Gary :)

  7. Sometimes the simple pleasures of a long walk or a freshly picked strawberry are the things we forget to celebrate. Well done on nailing the scene, that's brilliant.

  8. I just carry one of those doggie toothbrushes that you slip on your finger and brush away—we have way too many mosquitoes for a mere toothpick.

No need to come over...I've not written anything new since last time you visited. Just wanted to see what was new over here. :)

  9. Loved your list. I love walks, sweet kisses, and fresh fruit. I hope to not eat a mosquito sandwich (lol)- but if I did- I would definitely want a toothpick. Oh- and mouth wash. :)

  12. That was such a lovely list, and I laughed about the toothpick for the mosquito sandwich! Writing something you're satisfied with is a great accomplishment. I never seem to be able to stop criticizing what I write - revising is never over, but eventually, I move on to the next thing. Have a great week, Lee! :-)

    1. Back at you, expat. Think of you a lot whenever I read the news.

As to revision, we're on the same track. Someone has to yank that manuscript out of my hand and break my pencil.

  27. Aw, nicely said! I made a list once in my early 20s of simple things I love. I highly recommend it. Life is def about those precious moments that we tend to overlook for flashier, faster things.
