Shelli wins for "Like all my birthday parties, my own funeral is just plain boring."
The final judge wrote: " . . . there is something behind the words that needs to be figured out, and it's compelling enough to grab the reader's attention."
I'm a writer who captures the pulse of adolescent confusion in my Young Adult fiction, Sliding on the Edge and The Princess of Las Pulgas. Of course, I often reveal a lot of my Old Adult confusion while doing that. This year I'll publish my first Middle Grade fantasy titled Alligators Overhead. My blog posts come on Mondays unless there's something "uber" important, then they come as needed.
